Special Swing Dance Workshops

Hello everyone!

As you know, instead of offerring regular, weekly classes, we've been teaching a large batch of classes one weekend per month. As always, we are open to your feedback and suggestions as to what exact topics you'd like to choose from.

For April, you can view the class selection and descriptions of each class below. All classes are held at our home studio. Cost is $12 per single class or $10 per class if you're taking 2 or more. Pre-registration is required - see link below.

Saturday 12:00pm - Beginner Swing Part 1

This class is for people with no swing dance experience - we will do everything from scratch, and have you ready to social dance by the end of this first class! No partner required. Contintued Sunday.

Saturday 01:15pm - Intermediate Social Dance Moves & Tools for Lindy Hop part 1

This class is for experienced socially dancing Lindy Hoppers and is designed to teach you new moves and refine your technique. Continued Sunday.

Saturday 02:30pm - Beginner-Friendly Blues Moves & Technique

Experienced Blues Dancers and newbies alike are welcome to this class which will explore a set of fun moves and ideas for dancing to slower music.

Saturday 03:45pm - Practice space available until 4:30pm.

Stick around afterwards to practice what you learned, ask the teachers questions, and hang out with other students.

Sunday 12:00pm - Beginner Swing Part 2

A continuation of Part 1, which is required as a pre-requisite. Learn more moves and refine your technique!

Sunday 01:15pm - Intermediate Social Dance Moves & Tools for Lindy Hop part 2

A continuation of Part 1,though it can be taken independently. Learn more moves and refine your technique!

Sunday 02:30pm - Intermediate Blues Moves & Technique

For those who have taken a few Blues Dance classes, who actively dance Blues, and are eager to expand the depth and range of their social dancing!

Sunday 03:45pm - Balboa in a Nutshell

This class will start from scratch and explain "Pure Balboa", which is danced entirely in a close-embrace position. We will focus on footwork, variations and improv steps.
